Morroco

Morroco

A vast ground accentued by the singing of local merchants who came from far lands. Some had to cross the Sahara to meet at Tarfaya in Meknes or Fes.

Tarfaya the gate for Western Sahara. The fishing village in which 'composed' Etienne St-Exupery.

The parfume of the fish bowels are mixed with the sea air, the sweat of the sailors all this englobed by the fine sand dispersed by the wind all around. It is maybe why the seabirds seem to be so agitated in the air.

Not far from here in the Berber mountains, husbands dressed in their best clothes come to choose their beloved ones. I believe myself in a other mysterious world in the carneval of faces and rituals.
